Thank you
Hi, thank you for watching me!
No Problem. I just started making dolls and I found your work inspirational. I'm struggling with the hair process, any suggestions or links you learned from?
Oh! I'm not sure, it depends a lot on what kind of style you go for... In my experience, the wool (wool for felting) works best as a beginner-friendly material for small dolls, so for a long time it's been my favourite.
There are also ways to make hair from ribbons, from feathers, from plush fabric, and, naturally, from tress - handmade tress or purchased tress.
Since I don't know what styles you aim for, and whether you look for budget materials or for pro art supplies, it's really hard to give any concrete advice and I'm a mixed media person and tried a bit of everything over the years
But thank you for asking, I'm honored to be an inspiration!
Perhaps if you find an example among my dolls which hair you like most, I can tell how that hair was made
Thanks for that advice. I've been researching different hair techniques, but I want to make mine as close to a store bought barbie/monster high hair do as possible. so far I've tried synthetic hair and twine with mixed results.
I like your "spooky lady" and fairy dolls. my 1st attempt at a doll was a witch that turned out in a style similar to your spooky lady; I' be posting pics of her soon. Keep up the good work! 😉
